Melbourne Design Week (MDW) is an initiative of the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria and has grown since 2017 to become Australia’s premier design event, supported by the National Gallery of Victoria and the design community, which deliver events as part of the festival.

The MHS team is thrilled to announce that it has been selected as a finalist and is very excited about the opportunity to present at the national level.

MDW is an annual 11-day program of talks, tours, exhibitions, and workshops that celebrate and interrogate design through its varied disciplines, including: architecture, communication design, craft, digital technology, education, furniture, gaming, interiors, jewellery, landscape architecture, product design, service design, showroom, textiles, and urban design.

The Melbourne design event is an opportunity for people within these disciplines to come together to share ideas, show and sell new work and consider how design can be used as a force for good in an increasingly complex and precarious world.

MDW draws upon ‘Design the world you want’ to address the ever-changing opportunities and challenges that designers face. My Health Story qualified for the event as a tech-support idea that fits the theme and also explores a new wave of technologies created to extend care, broaden access, and promote fairness.

This year’s festival will take place between Thursday, 14 May and Sunday, 24 May 2026, and the MHS event will take place on Tuesday, 19 May.

MHS now seek expressions of interest from sponsors who would like to make the most of this opportunity and support the event. Complete details will be finalised in due course.
